About Mr. H
Being active should be a way of life. My goal is to show students a fun and enjoyable way to exercise. I play upbeat songs that students enjoy singing and dancing to as well as providing thrilling activites to get the heart rate up. Students will learn about how their body responds to exercise and identify ways to improve their fitness levels as they grow throughout the year.
The 2014-2015 school year will be my eigth year as a physical education teacher and my sixth year at Eisenberg. I graduated from the University of Delaware in 2007 with a degree in Health and Physical Education. In 2012, I received my Masters in Instruction: Teaching and Learning. I use what I have learned in the classroom and transfer it into productive strategies for teaching students.
June 2009, I married my beautiful wife. We went to Jamacia for our honeymoon and had a great time relaxing, horseback riding, snorkeling, and zip-lining through the jungle! Together, we have a dog named Tyson and enjoy taking him on long walks and hikes. I am excited to be married and enjoy where I am in life! April 9, 2014, we had our first baby. Her Name is Natalie and she brings so much joy to our lives.
In the summer time, I lifeguard at the Indian River Inlet. I have been a lifeguard for 11 years and have had countless rescues. I also compete in lifeguard competitions, where I go against other beach patrols in various events to see which beach is the best. This year, my patrol won the championship!
